Another day has gone by. Well, most of it anyway. Another day of eye drying coding, hair tearing, mind boggling work day. My eyes are so dry as I type this down. Works not done yet but I have to leave for squash training now. Guess I'll have to come back to work tomorrow! *sniff* *sniff* 'Tis a non working Saturday tomorrow! Seems that my co-worker will be coming in on the usual working hour cause he has to go back to his home town. I've decided to get in whenever I can get myself to wake up and get out of my bed. Hopefully I won't have to see him at work. I don't think I work well with him. We have such differring views on how things should be done and why certain things were done the way they are done. Actually got into an argument yesterday cause he didn't inform me of a change in one of the codes that affects the codes in my files. Says that he had told our senior and that it was that senior's responsibility to inform us. I don't know. Was he right? I just think that everyone should be informed of changes that might affect their work.

Gotta go now. Time for training. After that, I might have to outing with 2 sets of friends. Don't know how I'll go for those. We'll see.

Darn it! Someone just won the DVD microsystem that I was tracking. One of the radio station is having a competition and there are 50 prizes to be given out ranging from $15,000 to a roll of toilet paper. All you have to do is open 2 doors and if the prizes behind those doors matches, you win the prize. Cool huh? The prizes don't change place either. The same prize is always behind the same door. So, as long as you're attentive and keep track of where everything is, you can get the prize that you choose. There are 100 doors in all.

Nobody's got the $15,000 yet. I'm also tracking a 29" flat screen TV. I've got one door for both these prizes. Now I need to find the other. Wish me luck!

Frustrating guy! My co-worker just came over and said 'Have you retried? Why didn't you retry?'. What am I? A mind reader? Was I suppose to know when he's finished his codes and I'm allowed to compile?!?! Urghhh!!! I need to hit something. *smash* *smash* *smash*

I think I'll go home soon before all the monitors are smashed to smitherines (this how you spell it?).

Hello, I thought I'd write a few lines while waiting for my co-worker to correct his codes so all our codes get transferred to the deployment directory. Can do it manually but why do that when I can use the available tool? I just have to be patient and wait. Hmmm ... maybe I'll go play a few rounds of mindsweeper. Ciao.

During lunch, I went to have a look at the towel rack ... it's more of a towel stand than a towel rack, really. My friend agreed that it was the nicest towel stand she's seen so far. Anyway, I went with all the intention of buying ... BUT ... after some consideration didn't. You see, the one on display is actually the last one and I don't really want a display unit. That particular unit anyway. The bottom of the legs were a little dirty. I might have taken it if it wasn't. Why should I pay full price for a 'used' item? It is used isn't it?

I don't know. Are display units considered used items? Or are they new? It clear that after you've bought something and use it for awhile, it's labeled as used ... but what about display units? It hasn't been sold but is/was used for awhile by the shop ... albeit only for display purposes. So, are those items new or are they used?

*Come shake your body baby do that conga* Whoo hoo. Go Gloria!

What a day to start the day. Love that song. Don't you? Gloria Estefan rocks!

Anyway, got back home way tired yesterday. Wanted to login and write a bit yesterday but couldn't get myself to do it. Just plopped on the bed after I got back from squash training and didn't want to move after that. I did get up eventually to have my shower and dinner and then it was back to the bed. And now ... *Morning has broken, like the first morning ...*

Just had a look at yesterday's paper and saw the advertisement for the York 3-in-1 remote control that I've been hearing about in the radio. Couldn't really hear what they call the remote in the radio ad but now I do, thanks to the newpaper ad. It's called 'U-Rule'. With this magical remote, you'd be able to control your lights, fan and air conditioning all with one remote (Vanna White hand motions). Don't know how this magical remote works so I've asked my mom to call up the York person she knows. My sister just bought an air conditoner for her room. I'll be getting one as well and would like the U-Rule remote as well so, we'll see how that goes, eh readers?

As for today, I plan to go to the mall and get a towel rack for my room. I saw one the other day. Quite costly but I like it a lot. Still pondering if I should get it. My heart is going 'Yes, you should.' but my pocket's going 'No, you shouldn't.'.

Lots of things has happened. Just heard that my boss has resigned! Goodness. There sure are a lot of people resigning in this company. I know at least 3 others who will be leaving soon as well. Wonder if I should start applying for new jobs. The market must be really good right now. Maybe some of those people who lost their jobs in NY can come look for some here.

Anyway, remember my dilemma on Friday? Well, I ended up training until 8pm and went to watch the competition later. I was mislead. There really wasn't a competition actually. Just a bunch of people dancing the salsa and then the band members and a judge picked who they liked best. My friend wanted to go cause there's suppose to be a bunch of all-female Aussie dance group that was gonna perform.

He didn't get to watch though. That's the second time he's missed them. He only saw then for a few seconds the last time then came. We had car trouble on the way to The Rouge (venue). The car got overheated. Had to wait for about half on hour for the mechanic to arrive and declare that the car was still driveable with sufficient stops in between. After that we decided to continue on to the hotel since we were already so close. The place was quite packed and pretty good.

Then on Saturday, my dad woke me up to buy paint at 9am. I got in at 3am earlier before finally going to be at 4am so I was really tired ... but, since the paint was for my room, I thought what the heck! Just when we was about to leave the house, it started to rain really heavily so we had to wait till the rain subsides a little before heading out. Waiting for it to stop might have taken another hour or so. Why waste time?

The result of my room ... it is now a very pretty LIGHT LILAC. Sounds nice doesn't it? NOT! I was trying really hard to avoid a 'pretty/girlie' room. Grew up in a room painted in light pink cause my dad thinks it's the color that girls like. Haven't a clue where he get's that from. Therefore, I am not satisfied at all with how my room turned out. I'll just have to live with it for the next few years before a) I get a place of my own and paint it whatever the hell color I want! or b) the time for a new coat of paint comes ... this might take at least 5 years! My sister, brother and his girlfriend all agreed that the red that I painted last week was nicer than this color but hey, not too much I can do when the master of the house dislikes the color. (Maybe I should have had more backbone and insisted that I really wanted RED!) boo hoo ...

wooo hooo ... added a guestbook and counter on my blog. See it? Had my cake as well. Mmmmm ... was delish!

Ooops!!! I'm late for my squash.

*Yawn* Have been feeling sleepy ever since getting back from lunch. Had a really heavy lunch today. A co-worker just got his confirmation and treated us to lunch. Good food = Bad work progress later. Also bought a slice of cake on the way back from lunch. It's Chocolate Fudge. Mmmmm ... yummy but can't eat it right now cause I'm still full from lunch.

Urgh! Have to try and get back to work.

Just got to work. Found a free parking spot just when I was about to give up hope and cruise into the pay parking. Saved me 5 bucks, so that's good. Am kinda on a tight budget this month what with buying new furniture and paint for my new room. :o)

Had my dancing class last nite. Usual stuff. Finished our Silver level samba and will be doing the Paso Doble next week. Some of the people in the dance school will be going to watch a latin dance competition today. I'm wondering if I should go. I have squash training from 7 to 9 tonite ... the competition starts at 10! Not enough time to go home, shower and change to go watch if I attend training. Arghhh!!! Dilemma!

Fuh ... I'm getting light headed with all this decision making on empty stomach. Will go have my breaky now.

Guess what?!??! Just broke my own speed record in minesweeper. Record currently stands at 124sec. Don't know whether that good or bad. Nobody really compares minesweeper speed do they?

Whoa! Finally gotten me own blog. Actually, I've been meaning to do something like this for awhile now. Didn't think anyone else would have wanted to write their journals online and let the whole word see it. Plus, was too lazy to get the whole thing started ... y'know, creating templates, figuring out layouts, blah blah .... Thank you blogger!

Anyway, read about online journals in a tech column in a local paper and thought 'Hey! Since it's so popular, there should be some service online that provides ez journaling and voila ... here I am.

Plus, what better time to start blogging when you have a project starting, eh?

What project? Well ... I finally have my own room. Yea!!! We've converted the dining room into my bedroom. Currently I'm in the process of painting it. It's gonna be RED. Been wanting a room that has a bold color instead of the pale pastel crap that I grew up with.

Anywho ... have completed the first layer for 1 1/2 walls. My dad freaked when he saw the color (heh heh it's a really bright red). I have to change the color now cause he won't allow that red. We'll be going to get a deeper red this Sat and this time he's coming with me to give his nod of approval. I bought the paint on my own the last time ;p
