A bad happy?

I just got a call from my dance partner informing me that he might not be able to compete this Sunday. His grandfather is at his death bed and has requested for several family members to his bedside; my partner is one of those summoned.

I am quite ecstatic when I heard that (not the part about his grandpa dying-la!). Probably because practise has not been very good lately. The more we practise, the worse it seems to be. So, it might be a good thing to not compete this time.

Anyway, I've been sick the past couple days and I don't have the strength right now.

  3. you need a break from dancing, go back to performing on stage for awhile. Looks like you miss it. You were good at Phil It Up! - A Smorgasbord of Music.

  4. @pixie ... I think it probably was. Went to watch the competition and the competitors were so strong. Don't think we would have made it past the first round.

@slumberaja ... today will be rest day! yeah!

@anon ... I do miss the stage a lot! Thanks for coming to the show. Hope you enjoyed it, whoever you are.

  5. You are a self centered person, heartless, a bitch and a fake.

Nothing matters to you as long as you get what you want.

  6. Wow! I haven't read my comments for awhile and didn't see Sean's comment.

Er ... Sean, let me know what in this situation I could have been less self centered, heartless, a bitch and a fake.

    FYI:
    - I would have gone for the competition if not for his grandfather's condition.
    - I did not insist that he not go to his grandfather.
    - I was not refunded my portion of the entry fee nor did he offer to refund me the fee.

So let me know where I have gone wrong so that I can do better next time.

  8. @Dance Aficionado ...
No. Decided to quit cause it was getting busy at work and it was unfair for my partner to just wait for me. Difficult decision since male partners are so rare but ... what to do? *shrugs*

    Do you do competitive dancing?
